As part of a new pilot program from Welcome to Chinatown, Starcycle co-founder and CEO Jaclyn Siu will offer free, in-person consultations to help local small business owners navigate business transitions, whether it’s winding down, pivoting, or planning ahead with clarity.
Through the Welcome to Chinatown Concierge Program, Jaclyn will be embedded directly within the Chinatown community to provide 20-minute 1:1 sessions, offered in both English and Cantonese. These consultations support small business owners in major decisions like closing, adjusting, or preparing for the future.
This program marks a deeper investment in making founder support accessible, culturally relevant, and built from within the community, not bolted on after the fact.
“I’ve been thinking a lot about what support could look like if it were built into the fabric of a business community — not as an emergency hotline, but as something that’s just there,” said Jaclyn. “This is one small way we’re testing that.”
